March 31, 2025, Cambridge, OH—Southeastern Equipment Company, one of the largest privately owned dealers of over 30 premium construction equipment brands, hosted three Asphalt Best Practice Training Sessions in February to a packed room of road construction professionals from the private and government sectors. Industry-wide brands BOMAG Americas, Superior Broom, and Etnyre International, Ltd. partnered with Southeastern to present best practices led by dealer and factory product specialists. The session covered key aspects of road construction, including milling, sweeping, tack coating, paving, and compaction, all designed to help customers optimize their road and asphalt equipment and operations.
Throughout the sessions, the customers had an opportunity to interact with the following industry leaders: Chad Hurtgam, Region Manager, at E.D. Etnyre; John Gravatt, Product Marketing Manager, Digital Products and Autonomy and Henry Polk, Paving Application Specialist at BOMAG; Ben Cott, N.E. Regional Sales Manager at Superior Brooms; and Southeastern’s Milling Specialist, Brian Coady.
“We’re honored to work with these industry leaders because we know how valuable it is for customers when dealerships and manufacturers prioritize educational opportunities to improve skills and learn about future trends,” said Doug Neff, Sales & Asphalt Equipment Manager at Southeastern Equipment Company.
The seminars were designed for industry professionals and customers new to the industry or seeking to expand their capabilities into other areas. There was a good balance of owners, superintendents, department heads, foremen, operators, and road crew employees. The in-person seminars were held in Cambridge, OH, Perrysburg, OH, and Indianapolis, IN.
“We’re pleased to invest in education for our customers about a critical aspect of the U.S. transportation infrastructure. We get to hear from the customer what their challenges are and how to meet their future needs. Plus, the customers always enjoy the opportunity to interact with other industry leaders,” said Brian Coady, Milling Specialist at Southeastern Equipment. “It’s a terrific opportunity to further showcase Southeastern’s dedication, resources, and capabilities to the asphalt industry.”
The global asphalt market size stood at USD 222.0 million in 2019 and is expected to reach USD 321.5 million by 2027. The Roadways segment of the industry is expected to continue leading this market during the forecast period, driven by increasing demand from the construction industry. (Forbes Business Insights)
